Stoneworks

Cindy and I, under the
umbrella of Collage, have been actively using our art and imagination to
communicate, teach, inspire and encourage for as long as we’ve been together.
Both inside the community of Believers, the art community, and the marketplace,
we have written and sung, choreographed and danced and gathered together other
artists of various artistic expressions. In addition to our own expressions,
developing a collage of imaginative people to create events, concerts, and media
has its place in what we do.
I’m thinking that most of
you on our mailing list have benefited from listening to the songs and watching
the dances. And many have been encouraged and liberated to enter into your own
personal expressions.
I have a most incredible
opportunity to write new songs for a specific purpose that will have local and
international influence.
I need patrons to make this happen. My request is – if you appreciate my writing; please help provide the finances needed for a new collection of songs involving a partnership StoneWorks.
The end result of my
writing time for StoneWorks will be the creating of demos similar to the
“Whispers” I regularly send out to you. Then StoneWorks will provide the
resources for me to oversee the creating of “music videos” of these songs. The
visual recordings (which will include original instrumental music) will
accompany the teachings of Colin Harbinson, soon to be recorded to DVD with the
partnership of Intervarsity’s 2100 Productions.
Colin Harbinson, the
founder and director of StoneWorks is my favorite teacher on the theology and
philosophy of art and how art influences and changes culture. His teachings
(which my songs will play a part) will initiate and/or encourage many artists
who are Christians to continue in the process of redeeming the arts - with a
focus on the church, the academy, the marketplace and the foreign mission
sectors of the Body of Christ.
